The story
Marco Baldanza founded Luma Tech Solutions after a decade engineering infrastructure and software for businesses where things have to actually work. The pattern at home was always the same: friends and neighbours juggling three different "specialists" — a Wi-Fi guy, a web guy, an alarm guy — none of whom owned the whole picture.
So we built a company that does. We design the network, build the software, automate the home, and stick around to support it.
About Marco
Marco served in the Royal Marines Information Systems (RMIS) branch, building and maintaining mission-critical networks and communications in environments where failure wasn't an option. He founded Luma Tech Solutions to bring that same standard of reliability to homes and businesses in the Thames Valley.
Today he runs a full smart home and UniFi network at home, builds custom software for clients across the Thames Valley, and — when he's not laying network cabling in someone's loft — is probably tweaking a Home Assistant automation that nobody asked for.
We use what we sell
Marco's own home runs a full Luma Tech installation — the same UniFi network, the same Protect CCTV, the same smart-home setup we deliver to clients. Every recommendation has been lived with for months before it lands on a quote. If we wouldn't trust it ourselves, we don't sell it.

If you don't need it, we'll say so. The cheapest job we ever did was telling someone "your existing kit is fine, just move it 2 metres."

If we wouldn't trust it in our own home, we won't put it in yours. We document, we label, we test.
