Protect what matters, end to end.
Physical and cyber security, designed, installed and monitored as one integrated system. CCTV, access control, alarms, smart locks and network hardening — engineered together so they actually work together.
CCTV & video surveillance
We design and install UniFi Protect CCTV — a local-recording system with no monthly cloud subscription. Footage stays on your kit, and you keep full control.
Cameras we typically install
- UniFi G5 Bullet — the workhorse exterior camera. Discreet, weatherproof, sharp.
- UniFi AI Pro — 4K with on-device person, vehicle and package detection. Fewer false alerts, smarter notifications.
- UniFi AI 360 — panoramic ceiling-mount for forecourts, large rooms or open courtyards.
- UniFi G4 Instant — small, magnetic interior camera for blind-spots, garages or workshops.
What you get
- Carefully planned camera placement — coverage angles checked on site before a single hole is drilled.
- A recorder that lives in your house — small for homes, rack-mount for larger sites. Footage stays with you.
- Smart detection — the cameras tell person from vehicle from delivery, on the camera itself, so notifications mean something.
- View from anywhere — secure phone, tablet or web access. Your footage never goes through a third-party cloud.
On-device AI, no cloud needed
The newer UniFi cameras run their detection AI on the camera itself — there's a small neural processor inside each unit. That means notifications are smart from day one, your footage never leaves your network so an AI can "look at it", and there's no monthly cloud bill paying for it.
- Person, vehicle, package — the most useful classes, on every AI-capable camera. So the doorbell stops alerting on every leaf that blows past.
- Number plate recognition on AI Pro and AI LPR units — log every vehicle that comes up the drive, with the plate searchable later.
- Smart Detection Search — "show me every person who came through the gate yesterday between 4 and 6pm" returns a few clips, not three hours of footage.
- Face recognition (optional, opt-in) — the system learns the people who live there and stops alerting on them, so the alerts that do come through are meaningful.
- Animal detection — useful if you'd rather not get woken up because the fox is back.
Access control
For businesses and shared sites we install proper access control — door readers, phone-based unlocks and tap-to-enter cards, all on the same dashboard as your network and CCTV.
- Gate intercoms — video doorbells or commercial intercoms with two-way audio and remote unlock.
- Visitor management — temporary access codes for tradespeople and Airbnb guests, with a photo at entry and a record of who came in when.
- Time-based rules — the cleaner gets 8–10am Monday only, automatically.
- Phone-based keys — your phone unlocks the door; fobs as backup. Revoke instantly when staff leave.
Intruder alarms
Ring Alarm Pro for residential, commercial-grade panels for businesses. Wired into the same Home Assistant or UniFi dashboard your CCTV runs on, so events flow together.
- Door / window contacts, motion sensors, glass-break sensors.
- Auto-arm on leave — when the last phone leaves the geofence, the system arms itself.
- Notifications with snapshots — you get a camera still at the moment the alarm fires, so you know whether it's a fox or a foot.
- Cellular backup keeps it working even if the internet is down.
Smart locks
Keyless entry done properly, integrated with the rest of the system rather than as a vendor island.
- Keyless entry — phone, code, fingerprint or fob. No more "did I lock the door?".
- Time-limited guest codes — give the dog-walker a code that only works 9–11am Monday-Friday.
- Audit trail — see exactly who unlocked which door, when. Exportable.
- Auto-lock on a timeout, optional auto-unlock on presence.
Cyber security
Most "smart home" break-ins don't come through a window — they come through a forgotten smart bulb or doorbell that shares your network with your laptop. We design networks that contain those risks from day one.
- Separate networks for separate things — your smart devices, cameras, guest Wi-Fi and personal computers each live on their own private network. A compromised plug can't reach your photos.
- Smart-device isolation — gadgets only talk out to the bits of the internet they actually need. Nothing else.
- Active threat blocking — built-in protection at the front door blocks known-bad traffic before it reaches you.
- Secure remote access — a private encrypted tunnel lets you reach things at home from anywhere, without opening any doors to the wider internet.
- For businesses: every cable port authenticated — an unknown laptop plugged into an empty socket gets exactly nothing.
Camera placement, done properly
Cameras are easy to mount, hard to place. Before we drill, we walk the property, sketch coverage zones, check sightlines and identify blind spots — so cameras are positioned to actually see what matters and not just the back of a hedge.
- Coverage zones planned with line-of-sight verified room-by-room.
- Blind spots identified before the install, not after.
- Cable runs pre-planned, so install day is shorter and tidier.
- A written placement plan handed over with the runbook.
How a project comes together
Every install is quoted from a site visit. We walk the property, listen to what you're trying to protect, and write up a fixed-price proposal covering hardware, labour, cabling and timeline — no day rates, no scope creep.
